Recently, our team had the opportunity to enhance our knowledge and skills by attending a comprehensive CPD training session featuring the award-winning Guldmann hoist and tracking system. 

Hosted by Brian Ruttle of Simply Moving and Sleeping, the session delved into various tracking options and provided solutions to complex cases. Here's a glimpse into the key learnings and innovations that caught our attention: 

Guldmann Hoist Solutions: Hailing from Denmark, Guldmann is renowned for designing and manufacturing top-tier ceiling hoists. During the session, we explored the Guldmann GH1 ceiling hoist, which offers lifting capacities ranging from 175kg to 250kg. Additionally, the GH3 model, tailored for professional care environments, boasts a lifting capacity ranging from 250kg to 350kg, featuring a cordless remote and single motor. The GH3+ takes it a step further with options like care lift management, integrated scales, and faster lifting speed, catering to diverse care needs. 

Ropox Innovations: Our learning extended beyond hoists to include Ropox's changing and showering bed, revolutionising care routines. The quick wash ceramic basin with height adjustability and a quick-release handle stood out for its practicality and ease of use. Notably, these solutions require no electricity, making them versatile options suitable for both standing and seated users. 

Wall Rail System: Among the most intriguing features discussed was the Wall Rail system, offering seamless transitions between rooms and comprehensive coverage. Designed to install directly on various wall surfaces, the flexible traverse rail effortlessly adapts to accommodate slanted walls, compensating for deviations of up to 80mm. This innovation promises enhanced accessibility and mobility within care environments. 

As we reflect on our CPD training day, we're energised by the wealth of knowledge gained and the innovative solutions showcased. Our commitment to delivering exceptional care solutions remains unwavering, supported by continuous learning and collaboration within our industry.
