Over the past year, Martin has brought a wealth of expertise in business support, financial systems, and organisational management, playing a crucial role in our continued growth.  

In this article, Martin reflects on his role at F+A, his thoughts on the past year, and his excitement for what’s to come in 2025.  

Describe your role at F+A 

My role is to provide business support across all aspects of the company. Much of this involves leveraging my working knowledge of financial systems, but the team alsobenefits from my extensive management experience—think of it as a case of an "old fiddle still playing a good tune!" 

How has your role evolved since joining the team? 

Initially, my focus was primarily on financial matters. Over time, however, I’ve found myself increasingly involved in organizational aspects of the business. I believe this stems from my experience in adopting new systems and refining existing methods to meet the needs of a rapidly growing company like F+A. 

What were your initial thoughts when you joined F+A? 

From my very first meeting with Jonathan and Sharon, I was struck by the friendly and welcoming nature of the business. I was also genuinely impressed by the professionalism of the team. And yes, they really are lovely people to work with—honestly! 

What are you most excited about for the coming year? What would you like to see F+A accomplish in 2025? 

While my doctor advises against getting too excited, I’m certainly intrigued by what lies ahead in 2025. The past 12 months have brought some incredible growth and changes, and I fully expect that trend to continue. It’s going to be fascinating to see how we evolve and where we can take the business in the year ahead. 

What has been the most memorable project you’ve worked on at F+A so far, and why? 

I don’t usually work on projects directly, but I’m thrilled to be supporting Krissi in planning and organising a key F+A event for 2025: our first-ever golf day! I’m committed to helping make it an unforgettable experience for everyone involved. 

If you could sum up your experience at F+A in one word or phrase, what would it be? 

"Stimulating!"
