Our client was serving in the Royal Navy, when he was involved in a road traffic accident, suffering catastrophic injuries.

He required an adapted home, near to his family to enable him to live as independent a life as possible.

Our client's family had already sourced a potential property and asked France + Associates to visit the site to confirm if the property was feasible to adapt. Our team visited the site, and provided their initial thoughts and a potential sketch scheme. Following a meeting with the Family, Case Manager and Occupational Therapist, the designs were tweaked to ensure the property best met the client's needs.

Brief:

+ Single level accommodation, with level access in and around the home.
+ Specialist bedroom.
+ Specialist bathroom.
+ Therapy / Dressing Room.
+ Provision of a spare bedroom.
+ Accessible garden.

What we did:

+ Visited the property to advise if it was suitable for adaptations.
+ Produced a feasibility report.
+ Produced estimated costings for the proposal.
+ Submitted planning.
+ Produced tender drawings and tender document.
